For 48) you just apply 0 into x squared. The formula becomes 12 minus (0) squared over 5. I ended up with F(x)=12/5. If its wrong my bad thats just the way i did it. I am still working on 57) and 81). Hope i could help.

So I was doing my homework and I was confused on what to do exactly. I looked in the back of the book and sort of got an idea on what to do, but I don't know how to start the problems. If someone could help me on problem 14 on page 106? Thanks! Hi Matt
